The City of Sanger seeks applicants for Public Financing Authority (PFA) Board for the Sanger North Academy Corridor Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD)
The City of Sanger announces new Board openings for the Sanger North Academy Corridor Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (“EIFD”). The City of Sanger is seeking community members interested in making a difference in the community. Interested community members with expertise in business, finance, or community development, are encouraged to apply.
The City of Sanger is accepting applications from Sanger Community members for a total of Two (2) openings on the Public Financing Authority (“PFA”) for the Sanger North Academy Corridor Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (“EIFD”) with a two-year term expiration of January 2024.
The PFA is the governing board for the EIFD. The EIFD provides financing of public capital facilities and other specified projects of community wide significance that provide significant benefits to properties within the EIFD and the surrounding community. The board consists of five members, including three members of the City Council, and two members of the public. Members will serve two-year terms. Applicants must be a registered voter, employee, or representative of a non-profit entity, educational institution, or other corporate citizen within the City of Sanger, or former elected or appointed City of Sanger representatives. All members must complete a Statement of Economic Interest when appointed and annually thereafter.
The board will meet annually, and as necessary to perform the responsibilities under the EIFD Law, including the review and approval of an Infrastructure Finance Plan, and the consideration of bonds to finance the projects defined by the Infrastructure Financing Plan. New members can anticipate multiple meetings during the first 3-6 month of appointment and then annual and as necessary meetings.

The application deadline is 5 PM, Friday, January 21, 2022. Applications may be submitted electronically, by regular mail, or in person. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, January 25-26, 2022. Appointment is tentatively scheduled for the City of Sanger City Council meeting of February 3, 2022.
This open recruitment is based on City of Sanger City Council Resolution No. 2021-67 which established a roadmap for the formation of the EIFD and PFA.
