Free Tax Preparation Service
Free tax preparation services are now available through May 17th 2021, to residents in Fresno and Madera Counties who earned $57,000 or less in the 2020 tax year provided by the United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties Free Tax Preparation Service.
Citi Community Development, Bank of America and Union Bank invested to support efforts to expand awareness, access and capacity of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites during the 2020 tax season in major cities and regions across the country including the City of Sanger.
Working families and individuals may be eligible for thousands of dollars in tax returns, including the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Golden State Stimulus Tax Credit and the Federal Child Tax Credit (CTC).
Taxpayers can call 2-1-1 or 866-559-4211 to find out if they qualify and to schedule an appointment. Residents have an alternative option to file for free on their own by visiting www.myfreetaxes.org.
