[ARCHIVED] Cooling Center Activated

Cooling-Center letters with water droplets

Due to extreme heat the City of Sanger will be hosting a cooling center. When the National Weather Service indicates the temperature will reach/exceed 105 degrees the cooling center will be activated, running from 12pm – 6pm at The City of Sanger Annex located at (1789 Jensen Ave) free of charge. Please enter using the West Side doors. The Cooling Center will continue to be activated this week August 17- 21, 2020 when temperatures are 105 degrees or higher.  Click here for link to National Weather Service forecast.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic additional safety measures will be implemented.

All persons entering the cooling center will be required to sign in, wash their hands and wear a mask while in the building. Social distancing will be required.  Persons who are sick or exhibiting or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to enter.

Residents are urged to remain indoors and to drink plenty of water. During this heat please check on friends and relatives, especially the elderly. Please make sure pets have access to water and shade.

The cooling center is made possible by a generous grant by PG&E.
