Current Drought Conditions
California is currently experiencing one of the most severe droughts in history. The lack of rainfall and reduced water releases into the rivers and canals has caused the underground water table to drop significantly.
The City of Sanger currently pumps all of the drinking water from the ground from wells located throughout the City. Conservation of water is critical to assure that the residents of Sanger have an adequate supply.
One of the ways in which you can help is by adhering to the City's Watering Ordinance and utilizing the following water schedule for watering your lawns, landscaping, flower beds, etc.
Address | Watering Schedule |

Addresses East of Academy Avenue | Monday and Thursday |
All Other Residents - Even Numbered Addresses (if your address ends in a 0, 2, 4, 6, 8) | Wednesday and Sunday |
All Other Residents - Odd Numbered Addresses (if your address ends in a 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) | Tuesday and Saturday |
Watering permitted during these hours Only: 3:00 am - 7:00 am and 7:00 pm - 12 midnight
No watering on Fridays city-wide.
