Overview
The Sanger Commission to Advance the Status of Women and Girls is comprised of six members appointed by the City Council and is an advisory to the Sanger City Council to advocate for women and girls based on gender in the areas of housing, economic development (particularly as it pertains to statewide recovery response from the adverse impacts of the pandemic due to Covid-19), employment, education, community services, and related fields.
The Commission is comprised of six members. Four members shall be residents of the four Council Districts, and two members shall be residents of the City (at large). One at-large member shall be a woman between the ages of 16 and 24, attending high school, college, or university.
The Commission holds public meetings on the second Tuesday of each month or as scheduled.
