Administration
The Sanger Fire Department administration consists of the Fire Chief, Administrative Captain, Administrative Secretary, and an Ambulance Biller.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Division is responsible for planning and tracking the financial and development aspects of the Fire and Ambulance Services. The Fire Chief, Administrative Staff and the Operational Captains, provide vision and leadership to the Department and a healthy environment for employee development and morale. It is the Fire Chief's responsibility to provide direction to the organization and evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided to the community.

Greg Tarascou
Fire ChiefAbout
Chief Tarascou began his career with the Sanger Fire Department in 2001 after receiving his honorable discharge from the United States Navy. Starting as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Chief Tarascou served in the capacity as the Department’s Prehospital Liaison Officer, Infection Control Officer and as a Field Training Officer. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 2009 and to the position of Battalion Chief in 2010. He served as the Interim Fire Chief for the Fire Department for two years and has served the City as the Fire Chief since April of 2013.
Education
Chief Tarascou received his Associates’ degree in Fire Technology from Allan Hancock College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management and a Masters of Public Administration from Ashford University.
Memberships
Additionally he has completed the Executive Fire Officer Program from the National Fire Academy, is an accredited Chief Fire Officer from the Center for Public Safety Excellence has a membership grade with the Institution of Fire Engineers. Chief Tarascou is an active member of the California Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Fire Chiefs,is a Past President of the Central Valley Fire Chiefs Association and an active member of the Sanger Rotary Club.

Greg DuPuis
Administrative Captain / Community Risk ReductionAbout
Captain DuPuis began his career with the Sanger Fire Department in 2003. He was promoted to the rank of Administrative Captain in 2018. Captain DuPuis has served as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Acting Engineer, Fire/Arson Investigator and Community Risk Reduction Officer during his career. Captain DuPuis oversees the day-to-day operations of the Community Risk Reduction Bureau to include the Fire Investigation, Fire Prevention and Public Education Divisions.
Education
Captain DuPuis is CFSTES certified as a Fire Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Fire Investigator I and Fire Inspector I. Captain DuPuis received his Associates' degree in Fire Technology from Allan Hancock College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University.
Memberships
Captain DuPuis is a member of the Central Valley Arson Investigators (CVAI), Fresno Investigative Task Force (FIST) and the Central Valley Fire Prevention Officers Association (CVFPOA).

Rolinda Hernandez

Rolinda Hernandez, Administrative Secretary, began her employment with the City of Sanger in 2012. She brings with her over twenty-five years of experience working in a high-level administrative capacity as a direct liaison and support to executive management. Rolinda oversees and manages the day-to-day office operations for the Fire and Ambulance Services and supports the Fire Chief, 4 captainsand 24 full-time paid firefighter/medics. She also has oversight of expenditures, purchasing, and serves as the liaison between the public and the Fire Department.

Sandra Campa
Ambulance BillerAbout
SandraCampa began her employment with the City of Sanger in 2016 in the Finance as an Account Clerk handling business licenses and utility billing. She was promoted to Ambulance Biller for the Fire Department in July 2018. Sandra is responsible for verifying and billing all insurance companies and patients for ambulance services received. She is responsible for preparing monthly reporting of ambulance payments including coordinating payment plans if necessary. Ambulance billing represents approximately 89% of the fire department’s annual calls.
